About the course
This course is all about trying new things with your art. It is very much about stepping out of your creative comfort zone, and embracing experimenting and being curious. And then seeing what happens to you art when you do.
It is about tapping into your inner creativity, and discovering your own unique form of creative expression rather than teaching you a set of rules or techniques by which to make art.
You will have the space and time to really focus on and explore your art. Your work will evolve and develop over the year, and may end up taking you in directions you never even imagined it would! Neither you nor I know what will happen with your art through this process, but that is what makes it so exciting.
The course has a maximum of 8 students, which means you will experience lots of individual input and support from me. And as everyone in the group will have made art before in some way, it will be a really interesting mixing pot of ideas and you will learn a lot from each other.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you have either made art a bit before, or you are making art at the moment (painting or drawing or both), but you don’t need to have a lot of experience to do this course. The course isn’t about being a particular standard – the main thing is that you are interested and excited about developing your artwork.
As the course is online, you will need your own space to make art, and your own art materials.
When does the course run?
This virtual course starts next in January 2021, and you have the option to join an evening or daytime course (both options are held on a Tuesday).
