This online painting course for absolute beginners offers a really relaxing and non-intimidating way of getting started with painting
On this online painting course you will be exploring your creative side and surprising yourself with what you are able to create when you have a go at painting. You will have fun in the process, will discover how nice it is to make time to take time out to paint, and find out how incredibly relaxing painting can be.
You will come away from the online painting course feeling inspired, having caught the painting bug, and with the enthusiasm to carry on painting at home!
The course starts off by focusing on experimenting and exploring lots of different ways of applying acrylic paint – including printing, using pallet knives and paint brushes, and painted collage. This approach is all about having a play, being curious, encouraging creative expression and discovering how paint works, and on this part of the course you will produce a whole range of different samples and finished pieces.
Then you will build up to painting one or two final artworks of your choice – which could be absolutely anything from landscapes, animals, flowers or people. I will support you to produce your own unique artwork rather than the more traditional teaching approach where you all end up painting exactly the same thing.
How long is the online painting course and how does it work?
The course is made up of 6 lessons – which you will be sent every week over 6 weeks. Each lesson will take you up to 2 hours to complete. You could choose to do this once a week, or for shorter amounts of time spread across the week, and you have up to 8 weeks to complete the course
The course has a maximum of 12 students to allow for a nice small group feel and lots of individual support.
As a student on this online painting course, you will also be part of the course Facebook group, where you can meet your fellow students on the course, share your paintings and see each other’s work for inspiration. I will be on hand to answer any questions you have about the course and your work, giving you tips, suggestions, support and encouragement.
