Preparing For Your Art Class

How to find Be In Art

Please find directions for my studio here, and when you arrive, look out for the yellow sign on the door!

When to arrive

Please aim to arrive between 5-10 minutes early or the workshop, so that we can make sure to start on time.  (Please note I’ll be unable to answer the door earlier than 10 mins before the class starts).  If you think you will be late or need to contact me on the day, please call/text me on my mobile on 07988 487521.

Access / working

My studio is on the first floor up one flight of stairs.  There are stools available if you need these, but I encourage people to stand for my class if they are able, as it helps you to work in a much more free way.

What do I need to bring?

All your materials are provided – so there is no need to bring anything with you.  Tea, coffee and a plentiful supply of biscuits will be provided too.  For full day workshops you will need to bring a packed lunch.

What shall I wear to a class?

The painting classes use acrylic paint, which doesn’t wash off your clothes. I provide aprons but you might also what to think about wearing something that you can roll the sleeves up on, or that you don’t mind if you get paint on.  The paint may also not come off varnished nails!

How do I get my work home afterwards?

With a lot of the classes, your work will be wet at the end of the session, so it will need to dry before you can take it home.  If you aren’t able to take it home on the day,  you can either collect your work (work must be collected within 3 weeks of your class) and I will give you dates when this is possible. Alternatively I can post your work for you.  This will be sent 2nd class and costs £5.  Payment for this is due in cash on the day of your class.
