Did you used to make art?
Perhaps thinking back you can remember really enjoying making art and being creative. And not having art in your life is like having an itch you are not scratching – a niggling feeling that won’t go away that you are missing something, and not quite being 100% true to yourself.
Art for you is not only something you love to do, but also something that feels like a key part of who you are.
You would absolutely love to get back to it again but you don’t know where to start. It has been so long that you last made art that you feel like a complete beginner again, and there almost feels like a physical barrier stopping you from being able to put paintbrush or pencil to paper.
Helping you to reconnect with your creativity
My courses are designed to rebuild your confidence with your art making, and to free up your creative expression, so that you can carry on making art for pleasure. Whether it is drawing or painting or both that you are keen to get back into I will help you get restarted with making art again!
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you have made art before – this may have been at A level, foundation or degree, as well as any adult learning art class or even teaching yourself art at home. It doesn’t matter how much art you have made, or at what level – the main thing is that you used to make art and you would love to have it as part of your life again.
When do these courses run?
These 6 week courses will be coming to Bristol in 2021, and will be run on weekday mornings from 10am-12pm. Price: £350
What happens if I am not able to make a course?
I am also able to run 1-2-1 private art sessions to help you to rediscover your creativity. These are currently held in my studio in Oxford, but will be available in Bristol in 2021. Prices start from £125
What others have to say about this course…
“Working with Jane was really fun! I was immediately transported back to my college art room reliving my youth and wondering why I ever abandoned my artistic side. I felt the process enabled me to connect with parts of me I had forgotten. I also felt emotion rising in me – happiness and joy to put paintbrush to paper, the beautiful colours of the paint, the textures. I had forgotten I could just create art just for me, to be free, to experiment and to connect and Jane helped me realize this part of me still exists.” Rachel Allan
“This has been very beneficial to me in more ways than I had imagined! I have confidence in making art again and have found the joy in experimentation. I feel that working with Jane has given me the push to keep making art and not compare myself to others quite so much, which has been a big barrier in the past!” Christine Robertson
